LAKEPORT — Mr. Knutson”s letter in Wednesday”s paper stated that the facts in the Zimmerman/Martin case indicated that Trayvon Martin was responsible for his own death.
The facts show that Trayvon, whose only crime was being black, wearing a hoodie and walking home from a store after dark in his own neighborhood.
He was being followed by an armed wannabe cop/vigilante who was told by 9-1-1 not to do so. Trayvon rightfully felt threatened by this man and attempted to “stand his ground” as Florida law said he had a right to do. He died trying to protect himself. I hope the “ultimate” judge will take note that justice was not served in this case.
