LAKEPORT — Our rights have been violated with malice and we have stood back and let the special interest groups cry the loudest and get their way and trample our rights. It is time to take back our rights and bring common sense back when making decisions in events and issues that affect the majority of the population.
We vote in board members in our communities and they have said in their campaigns that they are for the people and the majority. When it really comes down to it they don”t have a backbone. They make decisions against the law abiding citizens. Why? Because they are looking for the votes to keep them in office.
When are the civil people going to wake up, stand up, and get those people we have entrusted with making decisions that benefit the majority of the citizens to either get out or take a stand for what is right.
The few special interest groups, for the most part, are ruining or county and we are letting it happen. We are selling ourselves out to the undesirables and it will destroy all that was good and fair.
Our politicians and government have driven a wedge between us to take away unity among the good in our counties and country. This is the reason we are in the quagmire in all political arenas. They do not want unity. Unity takes away their powers. The media plays along with this. If they can keep us in the dark they will. Open your eyes, people, and start thinking for yourselves and reading between the lines. Don”t let them pull the wool over your eyes. Don”t become complacent. They are trying to lull you into a sense of security. That is like sheep being led to slaughter. It is time to take a stand for our rights. How did this country become great? Our forefathers united and stood side by side for what is right and good. There is a price for everything. Nothing is free in this world. The politicians and government want us to believe that, but ultimately you will pay the price. It will be your freedoms, rights, and your livelihood. If we don”t turn it around immediately it will become the point of no return. Are you willing to have that happen?
Let”s start by uniting and eradicating all the marijuana grows in our neighborhoods. The Board of Supervisors need to stand for what is right and proper in our community. Why should our rights be dismissed and have to succumb to the pungent, disgusting odors in our neighborhoods? Also, the environmental issues it raises.
