UPPER LAKE — A potluck barbecue will be held at the home of Jaxan and Walt Christensen of Upper Lake on Sept. 14 at 3 p.m.
Paul Preston, Yuba-Sutter radio talk show host, will speak at the event at 3 p.m.
With four decades of experience as a teacher and school administrator in Southern California, Preston will speak on education in California and the Common Core State Educational Standards, according to Jaxan.
“California once had the best educational program in the nation, but now it”s really sick within. It”s not about kids anymore, it”s all about money and employment,” Preston said.
Preston broadcasts the Inside Education Show weekdays on KMYC AM 1410 Radio from?7 to 9 p.m. and The Agenda 21 Radio show which follows, from?9 to 10 p.m.
