VALLEJO — Lauren Rudnick of the Lake County Channel Cats swim team placed as high as second last weekend during the Zone 3 Championships in Vallejo.
Rudnick”s second-place time of 6 minutes, 4.82 seconds in the 500-yard freestyle was a personal best. She added fifth-place finishes in the 100, 200 and 1,000 freestyle events and a seventh in the 400 individual medley with a personal-best time of 5:21.38.
All of Rudnick”s times were Channel Cats records for age 13-14 girls.
The Channel Cats host the third annual Channel Cats Challenge this weekend in Lakeport.
