MIDDLETOWN — Pianist David Neft will perform at the Middletown Luncheon Club at noon on Wednesday at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church social hall.

The Mountain Lions of Cobb will prepare and serve lunch for the cost of $5.

This will be an all-request show and will include jokes and jests as endless as his repertoire of tunes, Neft stated.

He started classical piano training at age 7, but he later recognized he preferred jazz and the pop songs of the Hit Parade.

He still plays the classics, but his audiences clamor for the pop, to his delight, Neft stated.

Anchored by the Middletown area real estate business started by his parents, Neft has kept the display of his talents local. Nonetheless, he has opened for a number of famous musicians when they appeared at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa and other nearby venues. He continually plays for weddings, parties and other special occasions, and favors Middletown Luncheon Club regulars about once a year.

The Middletown Methodist church is located at 15833 Armstrong St. in Middletown. For information, call Neft at 987-3630.
