LAKEPORT — Seven divisions within five classes of cars made it an action-packed Saturday night at the Lakeport Speedway.
Pro-4 modifieds
The Pro-4 field consisted of the Limited Pro-4 division and the Northern California Pro-4 division. Heat race wins went to Greg Riel (limited) and Curt Lewis (NorCal). The two divisions ran as one in the main event and it was Ken Gifford winning a back-and-forth duel with Codi Barba.
Jammers
Also running two divisions (Pro and Junior) was the Jammer class. Jacob Cyr and Scott Strugnell won the heat races in the Pro Division, and Roy Ingalls Jr. was the heat race winner in the Junior division.
In the Jammers main event, Michael Knight won the Pro feature race while David Rank beat Kyle Moore and Ingalls Jr. to the finish line in the Junior feature race.
Mini-stocks
James Stillman scored a clean sweep in the Volvo Rents mini-stock division, setting the fast time (14.176 seconds) and winning both the heat race and main event. Michael Peterson Sr. came in second, Michael Peterson Jr. was third and Ashley Aceves came in fourth.
While taking a victory lap, Stillman”s car suffered a mechanical breakdown in turn four, sending him hard into the front straight wall.
Modifieds
In the Gravitate modified division, David Lyndall set the fast time of 12.640 and Sierra Furia took her first heat race win.
In the main event that followed, Alex Andrews won a caution-free race, taking the checkered flag in front of Lyndall and Steve Taylor.
Bombers
Travis Thorn set the fast time (13.982) in the Taco Bell bomber division. Heat race wins went to Randy Portlock, Guy Minyard and Bob Mook.
In the main event, Robert Brackett and Randy Portlock set the early pace in the 20-car field. Portlock edged in front and held the lead until lap 10, when Joey Brackett moved to the front. Joey Brackett increased his lead despite a series of multi-car accidents. He took the checkered flag in front of Bob Mook, who held off George Abella for second place.
