LAKEPORT — On Saturday at 5:35 p.m. Lakeport Police Department units were dispatched to the 100 block of First Street to investigate a report of a woman being attacked by a man who was armed with a knife.
Officers searched for the man but were unable to locate him.
Officers investigated the incident and determined the 42-year-old victim, a woman from Kelseyville, was at the 100 block of First Street as a caretaker for a 52-year-old man. The resident”s friend, who was identified by Officers as Allen Lee Timms Jr., 28, of Lakeport, was at the home and became upset alleging that the resident was not being provided enough pain medication, according to Lakeport Police Department.
The victim advised Timms that he needed to allow her to do her job and his anger escalated at which time she asked him to leave. Timms then produced a folding knife and the victim attempted to escape into a bathroom and then bedroom and closed the door. Timms reportedly forced his way in knocking her down.
Timms allegedly threatened the victim with harm but she was able to run out of the house and contact police. Timms has not yet been located but the investigation is being submitted to the Lake County District Attorney for criminal charges against him.
