LAKE COUNTY — KPFZ, Lake County Community Radio, seeks an applicant for its volunteer position of underwriting coordinator.
An underwriting spot is an announcement made on-air that usually mentions the name of a sponsor.
Primary responsibilities for this position include the following duties: Recruiting new businesses and contacting current underwriters to renew their support; assisting with writing and recording of on-air acknowledgements; making sure that weekly underwriting schedules are available for programmers; tracking acknowledgements that are aired; invoicing, collecting and recording donations for underwriting; preparing monthly reports for KPFZ”s board of directors; updating the underwriting packet as needed and updating KPFZ website”s underwriter page, according to a KPFZ press release.
