CLEARLAKE — A man brandishing a gun apparently went to the wrong home resulting in the arrest of five people.
On Monday at about 9:45 a.m. Clearlake Police Department (CPD) officers were dispatched to Trombettas Resort on Old Highway 53 for a report of a man and woman in a small silver hatchback brandishing and threatening a person with a handgun.
CPD officer Adams arrived on scene in less than one-and-a-half minutes of the call to police and located the car parked in front of a home at the entrance to the resort.
Jason Lord, 32; Antonio Aguirre, 40; Kindra Wertz, 26; Ignacio Montano, 32; and Kristein Feliciano, 27, were in or standing next to the car, according to CPD.
Once additional officers arrived, they began to detain those named above in order for the reported crimes to be safely investigated.
After three were detained in handcuffs and placed in patrol vehicles, Montano reportedly ran from the vehicle to the home it was parked in front of. Three of the five officers on scene ran after Montano into the house while the other two officers remained with the vehicle, which still had one occupant in it.
The officers caught Montano inside the home and attempted to take him into custody. According to CPD, Montano resisted arrest and began punching the officers. Following a moderate struggle, Montano was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and resisting arrest using force.
During a probation search of the home, Montano was reportedly in possession of approximately half an once of methamphetamine, and was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale.
Lord, the front passenger in the car was found to be on active post release community supervision out of Oakland.
During the investigation CPD reported Lord went to a home in the west end of Trombettas Resort in error thinking the residence belonged to Montano. Lord allegedly went there to collect money Montano owed him for something he would not divulge. While at the residence Lord brandished a firearm at the victim and demanded to know where Montano was.
CPD reported that when the victim told Lord she did not know who Montano was, Lord allegedly said, “he was a ?Norteno” (criminal street gang) and then threatened to kill the victim.”
Lord and Feliciano reportedly left in the car and ended up locating Montano”s home at the other end of the resort as Officer Adams arrived.
Lord was found to be in possession of a loaded .45 caliber, semi-automatic pistol, a quarter ounce of methamphetamine, packaging material, and a pipe used to smoke controlled substances, according to CPD.
Lord was arrested on charges of possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, convicted felon in possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance, criminal threats, brandishing a firearm, participant in criminal street gang, possession of drug paraphernalia, post release community supervision, under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm.
Feliciano, the driver, was reportedly found to be in possession of two grams of methamphetamine, a pipe used to smoke controlled substances and pepper spray.
Feliciano was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, transportation of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, drug addict in possession of tear gas and possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
Feliciano was charged with possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, because she reportedly knew Lord possessed the loaded firearm in her vehicle.
Aguirre and Wertz were arrested on charges of outstanding warrants.
All five were transported and booked into the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.
