
UPPER LAKE — Upper Lake High School”s cross country teams brought home a pair of third-place trophies from the Pacific Tiger Invitational on Saturday at Elkhorn Golf Course in Stockton.
The varsity girls finished third out of 16 teams and the varsity boys placed third out of 24 teams.
Yamileth Plata, Bianca Cruz and Courtney Aceves led the way for the lady Cougars while sophomore Zach Sneathen led the boys by winning the 2-mile race in 11 minutes, 3 seconds. Matt Willard added a 10th-place finish and Justin Lewis was 17th.
“It”s one of the nicest meets I had ever been to,” Upper Lake coach John Woods said.
The University of Pacific and Fleet Feet Stockton sponsored the meet.
