LOWER LAKE — Thorn Hill Vineyards will hold an Equine and Wine Festival at its tasting room on Oct. 20 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Performances will include Western dressage with Nancy Williams, a Gypsy horse demonstration in costume and mini horse jumping and trail demonstrations.
The food and wine pairings will include Thorn Hill”s 2011 Sauvignon Blanc paired with parmesan zucchini risotto fritters, Thorn Hill”s 2008 Red Rock Cabernet with house-made meatballs with coffee – spice rub and Thorn Hill”s 2008 Petite Sirah “Fire” with dark chocolate torte with chili – chocolate ganache.
