LAKEPORT — The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild will present Cara Gulati as the “Featured Quilter” at the guild”s 12th Annual Falling Leaves Quilt Show.
Cara Gulati describes herself as a “fiber artist specializing in 3D art quilts of illusion.” Gulati”s designs use bold fabric and color combinations to create the illusion of scrolls uncoiling across her quilts, forming stars, flowers, butterflies and a self-portrait.Gulati will be present Saturday and Sunday to talk with guests at the quilt show.
The show will take place at the Lake County Fairgrounds at 401 Martin Street, Lakeport on Oct.5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
