LAKE COUNTY — The Methodist churches of Lake County are hosting the second, Stop Hunger Now event on Oct. 23. The goal is to raise $2,500 to assemble 10,000 meals to feed hungry children and their families.
The dinner will take place at the United Christian Parish on Eighth and Brush streets, in Lakeport, on Oct. 23 at 6 p.m.
The dinner menu will consist of enriched fortified rice, tickets may be purchased for $10 at the United Christian Parish Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Tickets will also be available at the door.
