LAKE COUNTY — Tuleyome”s Home Place Adventures program offers hikes and outings for all ages and fitness levels. The hikes are free to the public, but donations are gratefully accepted.

The nationally award-winning Home Place Adventures program provides children, teens and their families with fun and educational outdoor experiences. The program is made possible by the sponsorship of the Conaway Ranch Preservation Group, as well as the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). Home Place Adventures has expanded to include hikes and volunteer opportunities for all members of the public.

The new outings start in October, and will range from easy to very difficult. Guests can choose outings including slow nature walks, moderate to strenuous hikes, trail building and maintenance, as well as habitat restoration projects in and around the wild areas of the region. Though outings are offered free of charge, there may be a nominal fee to pay to get into some of the park areas. Space is limited on some of the outings, so attendees are advised to sign up well in advance. More outings will be added to the list over the next few months.
