LAKE COUNTY — Nominations for the 16th annual Stars of Lake County community awards program are now open.
Anyone can make a nomination for a Star award. There are 21 categories covering a myriad of areas of service.
Soper Reese Community Theatre is the location for the Stars program on Nov. 16, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The program will consist of a reception hour with appetizers and beverages beginning at 5 p.m. Seating will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the awards program will begin shortly thereafter.
David Neft will perform during the reception hour. Jackie Hansen will sing an opening tribute to all nominees.
During the first 15 years of the program, more than 1,600 people, businesses and organizations were acknowledged with community nominations.
The nomination form is available at www.lakecochamber.com or call 263-5092. Forms are available at the Lake County Chamber of Commerce office at 875 Lakeport Blvd. in Lakeport at Vista Point. The deadline for nominations is Oct. 23, or postmarked with that date.

Tickets cost $25 per person and are available at the chamber office. All seats are reserved.
