WILLITS — Trailing 19-6 at halftime, the Clear Lake High School junior varsity football team rallied for a 34-19 victory on Friday night during North Central League I action at Willits.
Cameron Borg rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Tyler Dore passed for 113 yards and one score and ran for another to lead the Clear Lake comeback. Brandon Orozco also had a big night with five catches for 109 yards and a TD. He also had a 43-yard interception return for another score.
“We played a great second half, keeping them off the board defensively and we moved the ball well offensively,” Clear Lake coach Rik Hayes said. The kids showed poise and never let down all game. We were very proud of their effort.”
Clear Lake is 2-0 in league and 4-1 overall.
