LAKE COUNTY — On Sunday night a man transporting a U-Haul box van allegedly containing 256 pounds of processed marijuana, was pulled over.
The man was arrested and the pot was seized.
The driver, Jorge Jerson Tellez, 21, of Reedley was traveling eastbound on Highway 20 in Clearlake Oaks at about 10:15 p.m. A deputy conducted an enforcement stop in the area of Highway 20 and Keys Boulevard.
Tellez was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana for sales and the transportation of marijuana. He was transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked. Tellez is in custody and his bail is set at $20,000.
