LAKEPORT — Applications are available for the Lakeport Lighted Holiday Decorating Contest, which offers cash prizes for the best decorated homes and businesses in the city. Forms be can picked up in the lobby of the Lakeport City Hall located at 225 Park St. or from the Lake County Chamber of Commerce at 475 Lakeport Blvd.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Dec. 9. All applicant locations must be within the city limits of Lakeport.
There are two categories, residential and business. First prize for each category is $200, second prize is $100 and third prize is $50.
Judging will take place in the evening during the week of Dec. 9 through 15 and prizes will be awarded at the Lakeport City Council meeting on Dec. 17 at 6 p.m.
