GRANITE BAY — The Upper Lake Junior Cougars wrestling team sent seven wrestlers to the Granite Bay Bash on Saturday at Granite Bay High School and all seven brought home medals.

Zethen Wurm, who had only seven practices under his belt, won his division. Aiden Dancer finished third in his division but was awarded a first-place medal by the tournament director for showing great technique at the age of 6.

Second-place medals went to Cody Snider, Hayden Fowler and Jason Johnson Jr., who had only two practices before the tournament. Jose Fernandez III brought home a third-place medal and Noah De Lo Santos a fourth-place medal.

The Junior Cougars return to action this coming Saturday in Brentwood.
