$5,000 donation given to Gibson Museum
LAKE COUNTY — Judy and Wally Hardester recently donated $5,000 to the Gibson Museum becoming the first Gold Star sponsors.
On Nov. 9, Voris Brumfield was elected president of the Lake County Historical Society (LCHS), with Bob Kauffman appointed to replace her as representative from District 1.
At the Gibson Museum meeting on Nov. 5, Brumfield reported that the agreement for operational policies between Gibson and the LCHS had been approved by the LCHS board at its Nov. 2 meeting. The LCHS board will insure ongoing monthly utility and operational expenses for the first year for up to $200 that will eventually be repaid.
Bob and July Kauffman reported that primer was applied to all the walls after the old library shelves were disengaged, which revealed the original 1930s plaster behind them. The smaller room that will house the office and display prep activities has been painted.
The Gibson Museum has a new mailing address: P. O. Box 31, Middletown, CA 95461.
