LAKEPORT — Tom Meyer, who lived in the Middle East for 1,000 days, will be at the Clear Lake Baptist Church on Sunday at 6 p.m. as a part of his speaking tour.
Meyer, who teaches at Shasta Bible College in Redding, has sailed the Nile River, ridden camels through Jordan and walked the whole Holy Land, will present a multimedia lecture on the archaeology of the Bible.
Meyer has lived with the tent-dwelling Bedouins in the deserts of Jordan and become friendly with the ancient Samaritans to gain more insight into the world of the Bible.
The event is free-of-charge and open to the public.
The church is located at 555 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport.
