
LAKEPORT — About 200 guests and members attended the Oct. 6 4-H centennial event at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
Past and present Lake County All Stars were present at the event.
Frances Edwards, originally of Big Valley 4-H, was the most senior All Star ? having been an All Star in 1948.
Edwards and other alumni were recognized at the event.
Several families were awarded the title of Century Family for having been involved with 4-H program for 100 years or more.
The current All Star Team of Victoria Hayes, Asia Jones, and Jocelyn Bennett hosted the event.
Bluegrass band the Cobb Stompers opened the ceremony.
The event featured booths including an animal display, a quiz bowl, record books through the years, a video-recording booth, face painting, club projects, and a historical slide show and more.
All guests were presented with a commemorative pin in honor of California”s 4-H program”s 100th birthday.
