CLEARLAKE OAKS — The East Lake Elementary School held its fundraising event the “Fun-Run” on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Students were asked to find people to sponsor them for every lap they ran in a two-hour period.
One lap is equivalent to a quarter-mile. Some students were on their eighth lap within the first 30 minutes of the event.
An estimated 25 children participated in the event, kindergarten through eighth-grade.
The school”s goal was to raise $500. The money will go to end of the year educational field trips and some of it will go to the school for painting and bettering the lawns.
