LOWER LAKE — The annual Christmas at the Ranch Open House at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park will be on Dec. 14.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is free-of-charge and open to the public.

Santa Claus will be there to greet children and Christmas songs will be performed by various entertainers with the public invited to join in, according to Roberta Lyons.

Music starts at 10 a.m. with Stephen Pollaine on the piano. David Neft will perform at 11 a.m. then Harry Lyons, Tom Nixon, Rick McCann and others will play at noon. Anderson Marsh Interpretative Association (AMIA) board members Don Coffin, Gae Henry and Henry Bornstein will join other performers throughout the event. Joan Moss will arrive at 1 p.m. to close out the day.

“The public is warmly invited to attend this traditional, relaxed, and fun holiday event,” Lyons stated. “Join the volunteers of the AMIA for an old-fashioned Christmas open house at the ranch.”

Parking for the event is free-of-charge at the county Social Services Department, located at 15975 Anderson Ranch Parkway in Lower Lake, where a shuttle Lake Transit shuttle will take people to the ranch house. Handicapped parking for the event, also free-of-charge, is available at the ranch house parking lot.

Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Highway 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake.
