After the constant talk of bashing, impeachment, etc. and waste of time because of the glitches over implementation of Obamacare, it occurs to one that this program should have been properly named Kennedycare because of Ted Kennedy”s persistence in its passage. It was a life work for him and one of the goals both John and Robert would have implemented given the chance. By the way, they came from a wealthy family who did not need financial assistance.
During the last three years, there was ample time for our people to study the plans in Sweden and other countries where such goals have been successfully achieved. But, socialized medicine? Perish the thought. As the old commercial used to say, “When something works, that”s what you use.”
Kudos to Jim Hall, Clearlake Oaks, for his suggestion that our country not send more money abroad for whatever purpose than it is willing to spend on our own people.
