ORLAND — Abby Aden scored 20 of her team-leading 24 points in the first half to lead the undefeated Middletown High School junior varsity girls” basketball team to a 58-28 non-league rout of Orland on Monday in Orland.
Caitlin Lemoine added 10 points and Makenzi Smith had eight as coach Roxi Hoogendoorn”s Mustangs improved to 7-0 on the season.
“We”re a good team,” Hoogendoorn said.
On Saturday, the Mustangs overwhelmed Oceana of Pacifica 57-14 behind 14 points from Smith, eight from Paige Duncan and seven from Kaleigh Alves.
Middletown opens play Thursday at 1 p.m. against St. Joseph Notre Dame in the first round of the St. Joseph Tournament in Alameda.
