LAKEPORT — A man who remains at-large has been formally charged with numerous felony and misdemeanor crimes stemming from a string of burglaries and is now wanted on a warrant for arrest.
Lake County District Attorney Don Anderson filed a compliant Monday accusing Jeffery William Stokes, 25, of eight counts of felony burglary, five counts of felony possession of stolen property, four counts of misdemeanor theft and one count each of misdemeanor possession of burglary tools and vandalism, according to Lakeport Police Chief Brad Rasmussen.
Stokes, whose last known address is in Upper Lake, was identified as allegedly being responsible for a series of downtown burglaries last week and listed as wanted by the Lakeport Police Department (LPD), Rasmussen stated.
Stokes is 6-feet, 2-inches tall, weighs 220 pounds, has blue eyes and is bald or has short hair. Anyone with information on Stokes” location is asked to contact LPD 263-5491.
