LAKEPORT — A billy club, a switchblade, methamphetamine and nearly six pounds of marijuana were reportedly found during a traffic stop Sunday in Lakeport leading to the driver”s arrest.
Lakeport Police Department (LPD) officers found Eduardo Lopez, 39, of Lakeport, reportedly driving with a suspended license in the 1,200 block of Hartley Road in Lakeport, according to an LPD report released Monday.
During a search of Lopez”s vehicle, LPD officers reportedly found a billy club, which is illegal to possess, the report stated. Officers also reportedly found 5.8 pounds of processed marijuana in numerous bags, 415 grams of concentrated cannabis in a mason jar and a switchblade knife.
Methamphetamine was reportedly found in the driver”s seat, on the floorboard and in Lopez”s pants pocket, according to the release. A police scanner was found.
Lopez was charged with possession of marijuana for sale, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of a switchblade knife.
He was booked at the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility. His bail was set at $15,000.
