Reading recent opinions in the paper I stumbled upon something that I notice all to often … society and duality.
For those who are unfamiliar with duality, it means opposite sides of each topic ? right, wrong; good, bad and so forth. To truly understand our world we must move away from duality.
Our world is very much not black or white or good or bad. It is a complex mass of grey, mixing different ideas, cultures, and religious beliefs. What is “wrong” to one individual may not be “wrong” to another.
I heard reference to socialism and the Bible. First of all, socialism is a man made concept. It was not started by a divine creator but rather people themselves. If God truly does exist, I”m sure that socialism is on the bottom of the list of priorities.
To think that God loves America and hates everybody else is ridiculous, and again, goes back to duality.
God loves America because we”re the “good” guys. So I ask you, are we the “good” guys? Does God as we know him encourage war crimes, civilian casualties and torture? I would hope not.
If we truly look at the world the way it is we see that duality is harmful.
Sometimes “good” people do “bad” things simply because they made a mistake, this does not make them “bad,” it makes them human. It is time for us to open our minds and see the “culture war” we are creating with duality. We are all one; one energy, one world, one love.
