LAKE COUNTY — The big question on Lake County residents” minds is if the lake level of Clear Lake will rise to 2-feet or more on the Rumsey Gauge before the seasonal rainfall is over.
As of Tuesday the lake level was a 1.82 feet on the Rumsey Gauge. The lake level has only failed to reach the 2-foot mark three other times since 1873.
In 1920 the maximum height was a minus- .5 feet and the lowest was a minus- 3.5 feet.
In 1924 the highest the lake level reached was 1.8 feet on the Rumsey Gauge and the lowest was a minus- 1.53 feet.
In 1977 the highest was a minus- .3 feet on the Rumsey Gauge and the lowest was a minus- 3.39 feet.
