MISS: A driver reportedly drove southbound in the northbound lanes on Highway 29 between 11th Street and Hill Road Wednesday night.
HIT: There were no injuries and the man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence.
Gasoline thefts
HIT: The Lakeport Police Department arrested three people on drug charges and an alleged connection with a series of gasoline thefts. The first arrest was made on Monday, with the second and third made on Wednesday.
Former supervisor dies
MISS: Former District 2 County Supervisor Donald Ellis died March 5 at the age of 90.
Charter school burglary
MISS: Seven iPads and many computers were stolen from Lake County International Charter School sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Lake level
MISS: As of Tuesday, Clear Lake measured at 1.82 on the Rumsey Gauge. The lake level has only failed to reach the 2-foot mark three times since 1873.
Earthquake
MISS: A 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck 50 miles off the coast of Eureka at 10:18 p.m. Sunday night.
HIT: No tsunami warning was issued and the earthquake resulted in significantly less damage than Humboldt County”s last major earthquake in 2010.
Clearlake tax
MISS: The Clearlake City Council found that it could not include its 1-percent sales tax measure on the June ballot because of legal reasons.
HIT: The council will hold public meetings to decide whether to include a tax measure on the November ballot.
