LAKEPORT — A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday after what reportedly began as an argument about a cellphone.
At about 12:07 p.m. Lakeport Police officers contacted Anthony Moron and Cynthia Fox, both of Corning, who were allegedly involved in an argument about a cellphone on the 800 block of N. Main Street, according to Lakeport Police Department (LPD) Lt. Ferguson.
Officers were allegedly told that Fox, 23, had marijuana and a pipe in her purse. Upon searching it, officers reportedly found a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine and a plastic bag reportedly containing processed marijuana.
An officer allegedly obtained consent to search Moron and reportedly found a plastic bag with what is believed to be methamphetamine.
As a result, Fox was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and Moron was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Both were transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility with bail set at $15,000 each.
