Hefner and Stahlman were arrested on warrant charges for a burglary that reportedly occurred on Sept. 9, according to Brooks. They appear to have been arrested for the same crime.
Record-Bee staff has been advised several times by LCSO personnel that all information inquiries must be directed to Brooks, who is the LCSO Public Information Officer.
Additional questions were asked, such as the model, make, year and location of the vehicles Sandner allegedly broke into, how the vehicles were broken into and if he was apprehended at the scene. Questions regarding the location of the incident involving Hefner and Stahlman were also asked, Brooks responded with the following:
“Your requests have become overly broad and burdensome for me to continue to reply on a daily basis. I have many other duties that I am assigned and do not have time to research each case, answer your questions, provide you the information and then have to answer additional questions you have concerning the same case. I will continue to answer your questions as time permits, but I will not continue to drop everything to answer your questions.”
Brooks added that “the majority of the questions you ask are for cases that have not been adjudicated. This means that I have to research each case and make sure that the information I provide you will not hinder the investigation or the case as it goes through the court process.”
