CLEARLAKE — Highlands Senior Service Center (HSSC) will hold a Westamerica SeniorGuard seminar Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
The free-of-charge seminar is designed to teach people how to protect themselves against different kinds of financial abuse. The seminar includes real life examples, steps to prevent abuse and training for seniors on how to say “no.” Attendees will receive handouts on identity theft and other information and a SeniorGuardKit.
A Westamerica Basic Budgeting seminar will be held May 21 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at HSSC. The seminar is designed to help people become financially independent by giving participants the knowledge to self-sufficiently manage money. Participants will receive a Basic Budgeting Guide workbook.
