The Lake County Planning Commission (LCPC) will hold five public hearings at its 9 a.m. meeting April 24 at the Lake County Courthouse.
The first hearing will consider a variance from front and rear yard setback requirements of the single-family residential district. The applicant is requesting the variance in order to construct an addition to an existing residence.
A minor use permit application will be considered during the second hearing. The applicant is proposing food sales from a self-contained food trailer.
The LCPC will consider a mitigated negative declaration based on an initial study for a minor use permit during the third public hearing. If approved, the permit will allow the applicant to operate a small winery and wine tasting room in Kesleyville.
A mitigated negative declaration for a major use permit will be considered by the commission during the fourth hearing. The applicant is proposing a conversion of double-sided, on-site advertising sign into a 20-foot-high billboard with a 200-square-foot display area on each side.
A minor modification to a minor use permit will be considered by the LCPC during the fifth public hearing. The applicant is requesting to an increase in the number of special events allowed at Rancho De La Fuente in Lakeport from 24 to 40.
The courthouse is located at 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport.
