UKIAH — A 26-year-old man, the driver of a Cadillac heading southbound on Highway 101 just south of the Burke Hill Drive exit and a 3-year-old passenger were both killed in an accident just after 11 this morning. Two other passengers in the Cadillac were rushed to Ukiah Valley Medical Center.
The accident involved a Chevy Express van which was northbound on Highway 101 and for unknown reasons crossed the grass median into the southbound lanes. The 22-year-old man driving that vehicle was being questioned by officers at the scene. His condition is unknown. Thus far, alcohol is not suspected as a cause of the accident. None of the names of those involved in the accident have been released.
