LAKE COUNTY — Artists are invited to submit their original artwork to the “Hot August Nites” poster contest committee.
The committee will accept submissions from May 1 to May 15. Entries will be judged on May 19 at the Lakeport Senior Activity Center and winners will be announced May 20. The contest is open to Lake County residents of all ages.
The first-place poster will be reproduced for the Hot August Nites Dinner-Dance to be held August 15. The top submissions will also be showcased at the dinner-dance.
Judges will choose the first- through third-place winners and an honorable mention. The Lakeport Senior Activity Center has the sole right to use the images through July 31, 2015.
The poster must depict the theme of the event, “Cruisin” to the ”50s,” be no larger than 11-by-17 inches and include the artist”s name and phone number attached to the back. The design must be in full color and must be the contestant”s original hand-drawn creation. One entry per person will be accepted.
All artwork must be delivered to the Lakeport Senior Activity Center. Entry and agreement forms are available at the senior center, the Meals On Wheels Thrift Store or online at www.lcseniors.com/poster. All submissions must be submitted with a signed entry and agreement form.
