MIDDLETOWN — A contra dance will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Armstrong Hall.
The dance will be led by Eryk Hoffman and live, old-time fiddle music will be provided by the Cobb Stompers. Easier dances will start at 7 p.m. and progress to more challenging versions as the night progresses.
Contra dancing is similar to square dancing but is less formal and is a good dance for beginners to learn. As it is a social dance, attendees don”t need to arrive with a partner.
Attendees are asked to wear shoes that won”t harm the hall”s hardwood floor and to bring a water bottle. Admission costs $5 at the door.
