KELSEYVILLE — Lake County Farmers” Finest (LCFF) will welcome new farmers and vendors to its Saturday and Tuesday Morning Markets at Steele Wines this season, which begins on May 3 and 6.
Farmers interested in selling at the markets and anyone interested in serving as a part-time assistant manager are encouraged to contact the Market Manager Cornelia Sieber-Davis, who can assist with application processes.
Due to space constraints, craft booths attend on a rotation schedule which will be available on the LCFF website at www.lakecountyfarmersfinest.org. The calendar of scheduled musicians to play at the markets is also made available at the website. Market news, featured events, cooking demos, what”s in season and artists are also announced via “The Freshest News,” an email newsletter available by signing up at the markets or on the website.
In addition to snow peas, dandelion greens, early stone fruit, herbs, olive oil, lamb, honey, goat cheese, jams and olive trees, new booths will be selling plants and fish from the Mendocino coast. Additionally, booths will showcase handmade crafts, soaps, jewelry and woodwork.
The first day of the farmer”s market season will be held May 3 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Steele Wines, located at 4350 Thomas Drive in Kelseyville.
