REDDING — Competing in both freestyle and Greco formats, the Punisher Wrestling Club of Lower Lake finished third in the team standings last weekend at Shasta College in Redding.
Among the 17 Punisher wrestlers who took part, 11 won their weight classes, eight finished second and three were third.
In freestyle competition, firsts went to Blake Fredrickson, Austin Fredrickson, Jonathan Fredrickson and Mikey Naber, all 3-0, and to Myles Conatser and Arturo Gudino, both 2-0.
Second-place medals went to Bryan Gudino, Adam Viramontes, Nicholas Celli and Blake Schuster. Trevor Wilson and Tristan Floyd finished third.
In Greco competition, firsts went to Celli, Naber, Floyd, Bryan Gudino and Austin Fredrickson.
Taking second were Conatser, Viramontes, Blake Fredrickson and Jonathan Fredrickson. Justin Drake was third.
The Punishers, who are nearly at the end of their season, wrestle this weekend at Central Catholic High School in Modesto.
