LAKE COUNTY — The Clear Lake Road Riders and Twin Pine Casino will host its 12th annual Bob Reese Memorial Run, a motorcycle ride to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, on Sunday.
Motorcycle riders are invited to participate for the tour around the lake and through the Cobb Mountain area with numerous stops on the route to stretch their legs.
Registration for the ride will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Hillside Honda in Lakeport. The ride will begin following registration.
After the ride, at 12:30 p.m., participants will be served lunch, drawings for prizes will be held and DADZ, a classic rock ?n” roll band from San Francisco, will perform at Twin Pine Casino. Individuals not riding are welcome to join the post-ride festivities and support the cause. The cost to attend lunch is $20 at the door.
All proceeds from the event go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, a charitable, nonprofit organization dedicated to finding the cause and cure of childhood brain tumors, as well as aiding in the early detection and treatment of childhood brain tumors. The Clear Lake Road Riders is one of several motorcycle clubs in California and the U.S. that helps raise funds for the foundation through its Ride for Kids program.
Bob Reese, a Lakeport community leader, was an active member in the Clear Lake Road Riders organization and supported the club”s fundraising activities for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
The Clear Lake Road Riders is a nonprofit membership organization that promotes motorcycle safety, organizes group rides and financially supports community organizations and projects such as the Lake Family Resource Center, senior centers and scholarships for graduating seniors attending Lake County high schools.
The entry fee for riders costs $20 and will include a poker hand, lunch and $10 free-of-charge play at Twin Pine Casino.
