In a news article in the R-B, mention was made of amendments to Proposition 13. Prop. 13 was passed in 1978 by the people of California and it has served them well ever since. In spite of the expressed will of the people, the tax and spend liberal Democrats in the Legislature have never rested in their attempts to repeal, revise or curcumvent that important initiative. A quick perusal of the amendments suggested in the current revision attempt will give us an idea of what the big spenders in Sacramento would like to spend more of the downtrodden taxpayer”s money on now. I would suggest they start looking for ways to reduce the bloated state budget and forget about trying to find a way to raise more taxes.
