Let”s add a new usage to the English language: the word “algo,” an abbreviation of the word “algorithm,” which means a procedure for accomplishing something. “Algo” would be a real word saver, as in “The algo for beating the blues is to read P.G. Wodehouse.”
“Read two pages and call me in the morning,” a doctor might say; for Wodehouse (1881-1975) is real mood medicine. He”s funny; he has a way with words. I consider him the greatest humorist of all time.
Give him a go; you”ll thank me.
