In the May 9 Letters to the Editor, Charles Moton of Lucerne, stated it all in a nutshell. Rivero has been and is a great sheriff.
His war on drugs in Lake County has been extraordinary, and everything else already said about him. Has the sheriff he”s done his job over and above the call of duty. So what do we want, a real sheriff or a social butterfly?
Now the other two contenders, maybe are qualified; but the big but is why go with the unknown when we already have the best. Sheriff Rivero wants to continue taking care of us despite the needless criticism put upon him since he took office, the constant nit picking. I say lets stick with the good old fashion sheriff we have and let the butterflies fly.
As most of us know from experience, the grass is not greener on the other side once you get there. Lets appreciate our present sheriff and give him our full support by voting for him in June.
