LAKEPORT — An informational meeting on the new state funding formula for California schools will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Lakeport Unified School District (LUSD) office.
LUSD stakeholders, including parents and community members, will have an opportunity to learn about the funding formula and how the LUSD governing board is proposing to apply the additional funding to better serve student needs during the next three years.
Superintendent Erin Smith-Hagberg will provide an overview of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), which identifies local priorities and specifics how the additional funding will be targeted to improve student achievement.
Additionally, the LUSD governing board will hold a public hearing on June 5 and ratify the plan at its regular meeting to be held June 12.
