I would like to recommend all Lake County voters take the time to closely examine the qualifications of our sheriff candidates.
During my law enforcement career, I served 30 years of my career as a chief or undersheriff. During those 30 years, I had the opportunity to work with dozens of captains and lieutenants that served under my command. Sheriff candidate Bob Chalk worked for me and he served as a second in command for nine years and as a Chief of Police for 14 years. During these years he proved himself to be an excellent administrator, a careful fiscal manager and a fair and thorough personnel manager. He is honest, straight forward and dependable and a proven leader who keeps an “open door” policy to best serve the community. I recommend that you compare the qualifications of our candidates and you will see that Chalk is clearly the most qualified for the job.
This is a very important election and the outcome must change the direction and the reputation of our sheriff department.
