LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Registrar of Voters is seeking poll workers for the June 3 primary election.
There is a shortage of poll workers in some areas of Lake County, according to Diane Fridley, registrar of voters.
Registered voters who are interested are encouraged to apply at the Lake County Registrar of Voters office.
The Registrar of Voters is trying to build a permanent group of polling officials. Anyone who is interested in community service and has the time to serve as a poll worker is urged to apply, Fridley stated.
The work day takes place from 6 a.m. to about 10 p.m., with breaks for lunch and dinner. Each poll worker is asked to attend a special class of instruction for election officers prior to each election.
For information, call 263-2372 or visit the office in Room 209 on the second floor of the Lake County Courthouse located at 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport.
