LAKEPORT — Konocti Christian Academy (KCA) students traveled to Ashland, Ore. on May 16 to attend a production at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
The seventh- and eighth-grade students raised funds to take the trip and with the help of family, friends and community, they were able to meet their goal to attend the production. Along with several parents and their teacher, Ben Sombs, the students saw one of the plays at the festival and went sightseeing in the area the following day before returning home.
Every spring, the students study and perform one of Shakespeare”s plays at KCA”s annual “Renaissance Faire & Shakespeare in the Meadow.”
