LAKEPORT — Lake County Arts Council has renewed a grant that supports the free-of-charge public writing workshops offered monthly in Lakeport at the Main Street Art Gallery.
The Writers Circle workshops are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month. The grant, provided by Poets and Writers, a national organization that supports working writers, funds former Lake County Poet Laureate Mary McMillan, who facilitates the workshops.
Residents who attend the Writers Circle share memoirs, fiction, essays or poems they have written or just listen and get inspired.
