LOWER LAKE — Anderson Marsh State Historic Park will hold its monthly guided nature walk followed by a tour of the Historic Ranch House Museum on June 14.
People should meet in front of the Ranch House at 8:15 a.m. and bring binoculars; the walk will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Park docents and Anderson Marsh Interpretive Association board members Gae Henry and Henry Bornstein will lead the walk and Ranch House tour. The walk will focus on how the land has been affected by the people who have lived at Anderson Marsh, including Native Americans, European settlers and modern inhabitants. The walk will include parts of the Ridge, Marsh and Cache Creek trails. It will last approximately two-and-a-half to three hours and the tour of the historic Ranch House Museum will begin immediately after the walk.
The walk and parking are free-of-charge.
